Senior Structural Engineer

Senior Structural Engineer - required for our rapidly expanding client to work across the UK the Structural Design Engineer will be based from the office in Warrington and some home working. The Structural Engineer will be a technical and operational lead working for a company that operate across the UK specialising in Structural Inspections supported with a Structural Design team.

The Structural Engineer will have extensive experience in structural design to join a growing dynamic business, with experience in structural design for all types of building structures using new digital technology on a range of Residential, Commercial and Historic Buildings. This opportunity will suit a Structural Engineer who has a passion and drive for Structural Engineering and new technologies looking to take the technical and operational lead for the regional design team. The company will fully support the Engineer to become chartered and progress their career as the company grows.

Senior Structural Engineer Position Overview

• Structural design for all types of building structures,
• Preparation of associated AutoCad structural drawings
• Design approvals, coaching and mentoring
• Delivering design calculations
• Project include buildings insurance claims, including subsidence, fire, impact, flooding and storm damage
• Assistance with site inspections
• Developing new ideas
• Assisting with business development to drive growth of the team including the development of the design team

Senior Structural Engineer Position Requirements

• 1 or higher degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
• Several years post graduate design experience
• Good understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber
• Industry standard structural design software such as TEDDS
• Proficient in the use of AutoCad
• MICE or MIStructE (desirable)
• Passionate about new technologies and progressive change
• Car owner and UK driving licence
