Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) School of Polytechnic invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor/Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice in Construction Management beginning August 14, 2023. The position is 100% teaching (4/4 workload) at the undergraduate level.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely will be considered as a Visiting Assistant Professor. Candidates with a master’s degree with broad industrial experience will be considered for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice. Applicants must be able to teach at the undergraduate level in a variety of foundational courses and potential courses matching the candidate’s expertise. Areas of instructional interest would include surveying, Autodesk AutoCAD, Construction Safety, and Autodesk Revit. Applicants should possess at least 3 years of relevant industrial experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates should enjoy working closely with students, thrive in a small experiential classroom setting, and anticipate opportunity to collaborate with the community to improve the program. Position is contingent upon available funding and satisfactory background check.
