Field Service Engineer - Renewable Energy
Northeast Region - Hull/York
£30,000 - £40,000 + Benefits
Introduction
Astute are partnered with one of the most reputable sustainable energy businesses in the UK and a pioneer in the sector. Our client develops, constructs, owns, and operates their own renewable energy assets and we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to attend customers sites, maintaining utility scale solar ground mounted PV on a day-to-day basis, carrying out maintenance on installations, utilising and testing solar PV and performing preventative and corrective maintenance as directed.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for:
· Undertaking planned inspection and maintenance on utility scale solar sites.
· Performing preventative and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner.
· Carrying out site survey requests as required.
· Compiling accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
· Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documentation that are suitable for audit.
· Ensuring that would output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity.
· Complying with company Health & Safety policy, including carrying out general housekeeping.
· Participating in an on-call rota.
· Other duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
· NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent.
· 17th/18th (preferably) edition wiring regulations.
· 3-phase experience is desirable.
· Experience working with commercial or utility scale solar is desirable.
· A dynamic and flexible attitude when it comes to call outs.
· A full and clean UK driving license.
