About us:

Our client provides national construction and infrastructure services to private and public sector customers across a comprehensive range of markets.
Opportunity:
They have a fantastic opportunity within their Water business for an ambitious, driven individual who is already an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to be based out of our established Warrington offices.
The candidate will be a commercially astute individual with good negotiation skills, and ideally have previous commercial experience having been involved in a significant civils project as well as knowledge of sub contract management.
Some of your duties will include:
* Achieve the appropriate commercial result for projects through the provision of accurate financial reporting.
* Build and maintain working relationships with the supply chain and clients.
* Manager subcontractor supplier accounts, financially and contractually. Monitor subcontractors against the programme. Negotiate final accounts.
* Place supply chain orders in accordance with the procurement schedule.
* Complete measurements and valuations of work executed, ensuring that they meet the conditions of the contract.
* Ensure payments to Sub Contractors and Supplier are made to the terms and work in progress cash targets.
* Ensure that company construction is compliant with all contractual requirements.
* Provide analysis of cost over-run and cost projections.
* Liaise with clients on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments.
* Identify legitimate contractual claim situations and prepare suitable and documentation to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
AMP, to improve and maintain its assets during the period (Apply online only).
Our clients scope and remit is to provide solutions to the need of the customer and client to ensure the safe operation and working water systems.
Designs will be developed with the design partners from the intervention brief through to construction phase and handover.
Individual Project values can range from £70k to £20million which will form part of the overall investment figure. Examples of projects are detailed below but not limited to:-
Above and Below Ground Storage Tanks
Construction of new Treatment Works
Extension of Treatment Works
Construction of new Surface Water and Foul Water Pipelines and Manholes
New Pumping Stations
CSO's
Enabling works
Roadwork's & footpaths
