Our client is a small consultancy based in Cardiff, whose collaborative team are dedicated to providing their clients with a first class service. Their Directors have retained a "hands-on" approach and bring many years of experience to the practice.
They are implementing expansion plans and are seeking a senior or principal level structural engineer to enhance their project delivery. The ideal candidate will be Chartered or near Chartered, ideally with a background working in a smaller firm, or be looking to do so.
The practice also benefits from ICE training schemes and their leaders are dedicated to ensuring they help staff make the most of improvement opportunities available to them.
Responsibilities:
Take a lead role in the design of work to high quality level
Prepare briefs, scopes of work and input into bid proposals
Successfully manage time and budgets
Work closely with multi discipline team to deliver integrated design solutions
Requirements:
Degree in civil / structural engineering
Chartered or working towards
Experience leading a design team
Able to work independently and part of a team
Self motivated and flexible
Strong communication skills
