Our client is a small consultancy, led by highly experienced chartered engineers. Due to a number of projects wins they are expanding and looking to recruit a Structural Engineer with between 1 and 10 years' experience. You will work on interesting projects and gain valuable experience working alongside highly qualified senior people.
Job Role
Drawing and building on your experience you will undertake calculations, reports and detailing for a range of small to medium projects across multiple industry sectors.
Liaise with clients and design team members throughout the course of projects.
Attend sites to undertake surveys and review site works as they progress.
Attend meetings with clients and design team members both in person and virtually.
You will have an ability to work independently and contribute to the delivery of larger projects within the office, working collaboratively to ensure our company standards are upheld.
Required
* Knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD
* Ability to design simple structures with minimal supervision using major construction materials
* Good communication skills
* Knowledge and ability to use MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
* Customer facing
* An aptitude to problem solving, but asking for support where required
* Good knowledge of British Standards, Euro Codes, Building Regulations, etc
* Full valid UK Driving Licence (you will be required to travel throughout the UK to visit sites and client's premises)
Ideal
* Revit knowledge/use
* Use of Tedds/Structural Designer
* On site structural surveying experience and reporting
