Civil Engineering Estimator

Our client has been established for over 20yrs is a specialist firm of construction cost engineers. They provide independent estimating, scheduling and risk services to support our client's capital projects and programmes..

Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking to recruit full time Cost Estimators for our UK office in central Manchester,. Hybrid or remote working considered after probation period.

This role primarily involves the preparation of independent cost, schedule and risk assessments for major highways, rail & utilities infrastructure projects as well as a range of data analysis and cost engineering services.

The role would suit someone who has hands-on experience of Estimating for construction projects or civil engineering site experience, who wants to further develop their expertise in cost estimating, scheduling and risk assessment. This role requires substantial contact with clients and design teams.

A relevant degree and/or strong practical site experience are desirable for this role along with:

Skills & Experience

Sound knowledge of civil engineering construction methods
Strong numerical and data analysis skills
Proficiency in MS Excel
Commercial awareness
Preparation of cost estimates from first principles
Accurate and consistent approach
Experience in the use of cost estimating software would be advantageous
