Are you a Structural Engineer looking for an exciting and challenging role? We are working with a leading structural engineering consultancy based near Farringdon, providing innovative and sustainable solutions to their clients in a range of industries including commercial, residential, retail and science/research. We are looking for a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Undertake structural design and analysis work for a range of building types, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety and performance of structures.
Create detailed reports and documentation to communicate design decisions and recommendations to clients and other stakeholders.
Liaise with clients, architects, MEP engineers and contractors to ensure that design requirements are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Participate in internal design reviews and ensure that design work is compliant with relevant codes and standards.
Keep up-to-date with the latest engineering research and developments, and share knowledge with colleagues.
Job Requirements/Experience
Experience in residential, commercial, and wider urban projects.
Experience working with steel and concrete structures essential.
Experience with masonry or timber frames desirable.
3+ years of structural engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot and/or MasterSeries.
Option to work on a hybrid basis (if desired).
Confident communicator, able to explain engineering concepts clearly and simply to a range of stakeholders.
Passionate about continuous learning and technical excellence, with a desire to develop new skills and expertise.
Strong interest in architecture and the relationship between structural engineering and architectural design.
Committed to sustainability and reducing embodied carbon through design.
MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered with IStructE, or Incorporated (desired but not essential).
