Looking for an exciting opportunity that allows you to use your problem-solving skills and make a real impact in the world of engineering? Look no further!

We're currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Burton upon Trent Asset Integrity Group. As part of our team, you'll have the chance to work on high-value, high-performance, and safety-critical projects for world-class organizations in the defense, energy, and transport sectors.

In this role, you'll be responsible for assessing the structural integrity of a wide range of components and assets, using a variety of methods from hand calculations to complex finite element analysis (FEA) using High Performance Computing. But this is far from just a technical role. As part of our consultancy, we expect you to be able to work across our business and with our clients, developing project plans and delivering the desired outcomes and insights. Good interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to make structured decisions, solve problems, and show initiative and ownership both internally and externally.

Reporting to your Group Leader, you'll be accountable for your own work but will also have the opportunity to support and mentor junior engineers, as well as guide service development and strategy.

We would be delighted to hear from you if you meet some of the following requirements:
* STEM degree.
* Good general understanding of structural integrity fundamentals.
* Can reason through a structural analysis problem.
* Good awareness of business development and client handling.
* Experience in FEA codes at industrial or undergraduate academic level, such as Ansys, Abaqus and LS-Dyna.
* Experience in software codes, such as Python or Matlab.

Apply now and take the first step towards joining an exciting and rewarding company!

*Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
