Looking for an exciting opportunity that allows you to use your problem-solving skills and make a real impact in the world of engineering? Look no further!

We're currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Burton upon Trent Asset Integrity Group. As part of our team, you'll have the chance to work on high-value, high-performance, and safety-critical projects for world-class organizations in the defense, energy, and transport sectors.

In this role, you'll be responsible for assessing the structural integrity of a wide range of components and assets, using a variety of methods from hand calculations to complex finite element analysis (FEA) using High Performance Computing. You'll also write bespoke software tools to assess components more quickly, removing conservatism and providing our clients with the evidence they need to make informed decisions about their assets.

But this is far from just a technical role. As part of our consultancy, we expect you to be able to work across our business and with our clients, developing project plans and delivering the desired outcomes and insights. Good interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to make structured decisions, solve problems, and show initiative and ownership both internally and externally.

Reporting to your Group Leader, you'll be accountable for your own work but will also have the opportunity to support and mentor junior engineers, as well as guide service development and strategy.
