Remuneration: £40,000 - £60,000

The role of the Quantity Surveyor - Highway Structures will involve:
* Quantity Surveyor position dealing with various highway projects from tender stage through to completion
* Projects would include concrete testing/surveys, temporary works, hydro demolition, preparation works, concrete repairs, formwork, cathodic protection, civil engineering bridge works, barrier replacement, and bridge reconstruction
* Working closely with the Project Managers, Engineers, and Commercial Team
* Monitor and control costs throughout projects
* Identify, track, report and price change as required
* Compile and submit monthly Applications/Valuations to clients in line with contract requirements
* Set-up and manage subcontractor accounts, making payments when due
* Produce monthly financial reports for active projects
* Assist with forecasting and budgeting of works with the Projects Team
The ideal applicant will be a Quantity Surveyor - Highway Structures with:
* Must have 5+ years Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry
* Ideally will be experience in Civil Engineering, Concrete Repairs, Formwork, Falsework, Bride Repairs, Highways etc
* Good understanding of temporary works, NEC 3 and 4 suites of contracts
* Good financial and numerical skills
* High levels of attention to detail
* Ability to multi-task and work accurately under pressure
* Familiar with cost reporting & valuations
* Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
* Full UK driving license
