Job Title: Construction Engineer

Duration: 7 months, extensions likely

Location: WFH/Crewe three times per week

Salary: £30.00 - £33.00 per hour PAYE

Scope of Service:

Definition of project requirements / scope of works
Tender scope with suppliers, tender evaluations and achieve funding approval
Support purchasing process for tender nomination
Generation of planning & building control submission
Monitor suppliers to ensure project delivery to agreed plans

Key Deliverables:

Creating and managing project plans so projects are completed on/before deadlines
Overseeing building projects to ensure staff are working safely, productively and to a high standard
Providing progress reports to Bentley client via phone, email or meetings in person

Skills and Experience Required:

Construction Project Management
Problem solving
Automotive business experience
Civil Engineering, including building construction methods, services, planning permission process etc
Mechanical Engineering, including steelwork construction, Compressed air, Water, Gas Installations.
Electrical Engineering, including power transmission, High and Low voltage distribution systems.
H&S Legislation
Effective Communication

Practical and Technical Knowledge:

Proven project delivery skills
Understanding construction processes and guidelines for effective planning and site management
Organisational skills for ensuring multiple building projects are completed on time and on budget
Great attention to detail for effective safety and construction work checks
Financial Management of project budgets

Qualifications:

Degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture or demonstrable equivalent experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture projects
High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents
