We have an immediate requirement for Mechanical Structural Analysis Engineers to join a team of multidisciplinary engineers responsible for structural integrity analysis and design supporting both new product design and modification or repair to existing air platforms. Work will include fatigue, damage tolerance, and static strength stress analyses.?
Required:
Minimum of 5yrs of experience and will be comfortable working to aerospace engineering design principles in a waterfall or agile project environment.
Experience with fatigue and damage tolerance methods and best practice
Experience with static stress analysis methods
Experience with finite element analysis techniques
Demonstrates a working knowledge of relevant CS25 and Def Stan 00-970 certification requirements
Support the development of new and existing product design concepts from initial risk assessment and feasibility studies through to test and verification.
Work both independently and collaboratively within a high performing team delivering innovative solutions in a dynamic environment with challenging timescales.
Have a working knowledge of systems engineering thinking
Comfortable with flexible team working - onsite and offsite.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with energy and enthusiasm to all levels within and without the business.
Preferred:
Experience with repair/liaison work
Experience with NASTRAN/PATRAN or similar FEA tools
· Comfortable assessing structural analysis design and determining a suitable analysis technique reflecting the complexity, change and validation.
