Senior Civil Engineer - Flood Risk and Drainage

Senior Level Civil engineer?

Experienced in the Flood Risk and Drainage Sector?

I am on the lookout for a Senior Civil Engineer who has experience in the Flood Risk and/or Drainage Sector. I'm looking for someone who is interested in flood risk management, sustainability drainage design and explore different elements within the engineering field with developments and land use planning.

Main responsibilities and duties

You will undertake site viability assessments and walk over surveys, flood risk assessments sustainability surface and foul water drainage designs.

You will provide satisfactory resolution to engineering issues identified during planning applications and support clients in gaining the necessary post planning consents.

You will liaise with developers/clients, consult with regulators and planning authorities and work with inter-disciplinary teams.

You will be responsible for preparing engineering solutions for flood risk and drainage from early conceptual design through a tender preparation and ongoing project management.

To be a successful candidate you must be able to demonstrate

Infrastructure planning and delivery associated with site developments.
Understanding and appreciation of the importance of sustainable drainage systems and a strong and evidenced ability to design and implement.
Outline and detailed drainage design for residential/ renewable energy/commercial buildings at a range of scales using Microdrainage
Undertake flood risk assessments
3D earthworks modelling using PDS or similar
Hydrological assessment and hydraulic modelling using WINFAP-FEH and Flood Modeller software packages
Interpretation of geo-technical reports for drainage design
Undertake site walkovers/ assessments.
ArcGIS and AutoCAD applications.
