It’s a great life in Tampa Bay, where fun in the sun is a year-long adventure! The City of Tampa, FL is seeking a Stormwater Engineering Manager. The Stormwater Engineering Manager oversees the following main functions of the Stormwater Engineering Division which consists of twenty staff members (full list of duties in brochure!):

• Development and prioritization of the City’s Capital Improvement Program’s (CIP’s) that align with the Administration’s goal of Transforming Tampa’s Tomorrow
• Delivery of CIPs to construction with schedules that align with bond spend down timelines with both in-house and consultant led designs
• Coordinate with outside agencies including SWFWMD, FDOT, FDEP, Hillsborough County, Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council and developers to seize opportunities to partner on projects to provide flooding relief and water quality enhancements
• Administration of surface water quality programs required under the NPDES permit including MS4 reporting
• Manage the national flood insurance program community rating system (CRS)

The ideal candidate will have an extensive background from any variety of public or private utility organizations and be a team player, solution-oriented, and enjoy contributing to a collaborative culture and influencing progress. Strong candidates will be equally adept at managing technical operations as well as staff and accountability for project completion.
