They are a London-based structural engineering consultancy. They like developing realistic and comprehensive structural engineering plans, finding solutions, and giving their clients exceptional value for their money.

They are a group of energetic, motivated structural engineers and technicians that enjoy discussing structural design concepts at work. They are based in a contemporary, welcoming design office in London. They are meticulous, making sure their ideas are the most cost-effective options available and that they are coordinated with the design team and simple enough for the contractor to understand. They are looking for someone with 7+ years' experience in the industry.

Office structure:

1 admin
4 technicians
2 directors
9 engineers at various levels :
* 1 charted engineer

* 1 older senior engineer

* 3-4 at 4-7 years' experience

* 2-3 - new graduates

Projects: (40% new built/ 60% refurbs)

30% domestic
10% schools
30% commercial
30% residential

Person specifications:

Minimum BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering required
Preferably Chartered MICE or MIStructE
Able to show originality and invention in the creation of solutions for structural and civil engineering problems using all common building materials, including reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry
Job responsibilities include:

Own project production from inception to completion with Partner or Associate oversight only including project management plans, appointment documents, financial management, invoice drafting, report writing and calculation, specification, drawing and/or Revit/BIM Model production.
Provide leadership and management to the resources on a project basis.
Manage and record health and safety risks and maintain Designers Risk Assessments in accordance with CDM regulations.
Advise and update the Project Partner of any possible changes to scope, circumstances, or programme that may impact on cost and agree actions.
Be conversant with the Practice's Integrated Management System.
Liaise with co-professionals and clients.
Delegate workload and monitor delivery and help train and mentor other team members.
Liaise with Associates and Partners on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to plan and ensure sufficient resourcing to enable timely project delivery.
Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections of structural works and existing buildings; prepare reports or sections thereof.
Act on behalf of the company at Design/Project meetings and to promote the services and skills of the practice including the negotiation and obtaining technical approvals/solutions.
Develop client and co-professional relationships to build your own relationships with other professionals
