The Opportunity
Our clients are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join their busy office in London in a full time role. They are currently working on some extremely diverse and challenging projects. The Structural Engineer will play a role in providing technical design solutions on projects delivered by their Cities & Places operating unit. Using technical experience and excellent people skills, the role will work with others within the multi-disciplinary team to produce designs and associated deliverables for projects.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the regional multi-disciplinary design team, an Engineer plays a role in the delivery of technical solutions, acting in support of the Team Principal. This Structural Engineer position will be responsible for:
- Production of designs and specifications on a variety of projects using a range of software including Tekla Structural Designer, and TEDDS
- Production of structural design calculation packages
- The delivery of technical outputs of projects and the seamless sharing of information with other discipline teams
- Ensuring the technical quality of design solutions they have developed, through implementation of best practice and continuous improvement processes
Here's What You'll Need:
- A good Engineering degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent
- Relevant experience in the design and specification of building structures to relevant codes of practice
- Ability in the production of structural engineering calculations and delivery of design solutions on projects to a high quality
- Ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with clients, architects and other design team members
- Sound knowledge of BIM and the ability to implement the use 3D structural design on projects
- Ability to consider safety in design and develop design solutions to eliminate health and safety risks
- Working towards professional qualification and membership of a relevant professional body
