Plant Engineer, Service Technician, Plant Technician. Whatever title we give it, servicing and carrying out planned maintenance on Plant Machinery is exactly what an SMT Preventative Maintenance Engineer does.
Reporting to our Warrington depot, you will be working remotely, out in the field, attending customer sites across the across the North West.
We offer an attractive salary. Working 38.5 hours per week on single time, overtime is paid as time and half up to 12 noon on Saturdays and double time thereafter. You have the potential to more than double your wage with overtime, should you wish to.

We provide a fully equipped van, laptop and phone, all you need is the mechanical knowledge and desire to represent a truly leading brand.
Our vast range of heavy plant machinery is supplied solely by Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) so you will receive training direct from the manufacturer, as well as support from the team while working on high-end plant machinery, with state-of-the-art technology. Our team of Coordinators will schedule the work for you, so you will know in advance which customer you will be visiting and what work is required. This could be anything from 13 ton digger to a 95 ton excavator.
To be a success in this role all we ask of you is that you hold a valid and full UK driving licence, a mechanical qualification, ideally an NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent, have previous experience servicing or fitting parts and great customer service and communication skills.
