Energy Risk Engineer

I am keen to speak with experienced risk engineers who have energy experience across a wide range of upstream, midstream, downstream and renewable energy risks. The role will liaise with the underwriting teams on new risk submissions and provide engineering focussed reviews for on-boarding new clients with a focus to identifying potential business interruption scenarios. Other typical duties will include conducting regular assessments of business interruption exposures to ensure adequate understanding of the risks are in place and completing risk assessment/risk improvement reports.

The role will require travel to conferences to speak on insurance issues to the wider energy industry and to help target potential revenue streams.

Candidates will need to have a Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (MIMechE/MIChemE) and will have ideally worked for a major oil company to enable them to understand hydrocarbon processing.
