Civil Engineer with Drainage Design Experience?

My client based up in York is on the lookout for an experienced Civil Engineer who has got experienced in Flood Risk and Sustainable drainage design to join the team.

Job Description

You will undertake sit viability assessments and walkover surveys, Flood Risk assessments, sustainable surface, and foul water drainage designs.

You will provide satisfactory resolution to engineering issues identified during planning applications and support clients as and when needed.

You will be liaising with clients and developers, consult with the regulators and planning authorities and work with multidisciplinary teams.

You will have experience of implementing the national planning policy framework, Water UK Sewerage, The SuDS Manual and other development related guidance and standards in your work.

Qualifications & Experienced Required

Engineering or science degree level qualified
Be charted or working towards this status with the ICE or CIWEM
Experienced, organised motivated
Have experience for being responsible for leaderships tasks such as preparing solutions for flood risk and drainage from early conceptual designs.
Have Understanding and appreciation of the importance of sustainable drainage systems and a strong and evidenced ability to design.
Be able to outline and detailed drainage (surface and foul) design.
Experience with Microdrainage
Undertaking surface water/SuDS and foul water drainage appraisals
Undertaking site walkovers/ assessments
3D earthworks modelling using PDS or similar
