Design Engineer - Structural Steel

Due to continued growth and expansion of markets and customers, our client are now looking for a Design Engineer to join the team to work on newly acquired projects,.

What's involved? This will involve working within the design and engineering teams, both in the office, on the workshop floor, and visiting client sites.

· Assist with the design elemens on structural steel projects to develop concepts for handover to manufacture

· Produce detailed drawings including for fabrication

· Design to current codes and standards, including ensuring work is compliant with CDM or other region specific regulations

· Liaising with external clients to ensure specification briefs are met and issues resolved · Contributing to the delivery of projects on time and within budget along with the wider teams.

Design Engineer Experience

· Experience of producing structural steel drawings

· Competence in SolidWorks to produce high quality drawings

· Proficiency in Microsoft Packages, including Excel

· Proven background in successful project delivery

· Knowledge of structural steel analysis is highly desirable

· FEA knowledge or experience would also be beneficial

· Able to work off own initiative as well as a member of the wider team

· Prepared to bring enthusiasm and drive to the role
