Role and required experience:

The primary role of the post holder is to lead the team of process, mechanical and electrical engineers. To deliver designs, documentation and assist with procurement for pump station / treatment systems. Interaction will be required on the factory floor and at site as well as predominantly in the office. The post holder will be responsible for assisting in preparing estimates and quotations and completing contract documents. The post holder will also assist in production of risk assessments and method statements. They will manage the performance of the design team and undertake design deliverables personally. A background in specification of treatment systems and process engineering is preferred as supporting calculations will be required for many designs. These designs can be for industrial or municipal treatment in clean and wastewater environments.

Key responsibilities, duties, and tasks:
* Undertake treatment and fluid transmission designs.
* Lead a team of multi-disciplinary engineers.
* Carry out site surveys if required.
* Project liaison with the team to take design to construction on site with final acceptance and documentation.
* Liaise with delivery PM's, sub-contractors, and Client's personnel.
* Prepare site documentation including environmental, quality and health and safety documents.
* Assist with programme development
* Materials requisitioning.
* Manpower planning for design and engineering support.
* Reporting of performance of team and design delivery.

Engineering:
* Undertake process calculations and designs
* Check and / or approve designs from other engineers.
* Manage and assist project commissioning requirements.
* Programme design resource for workload.
* Where required support the estimating and pricing of projects.
* Prepare final documentation (red line As Built Drawings etc.).
* Ensure Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety processes and procedures are always adhered to.
* Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction.
* Early identification and resolution of non-conformance within both the design and construction phase.
* Effective communication of technical issues between project engineering, designers, consultants, and other functions/support services within the project team.
* Implementing engineering systems, documentation, and controls by compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company, and industry standards.
* Ensuring that any site survey work is planned and organised so that it can be conducted safely and efficiently on site.
* Managing interface with project delivery managers.
* Writing and compiling MS & RA as per Company procedures for the work.
* Assessing tasks and ensure appropriate personal certification is up to date.
* Assessing tasks and ensure that appropriate equipment is available.

Desirable:
IOSH Managing Safely
First Aid qualified
CSCS card
Confined Spaces
Knowledge of electrical Safety Rules
DOMS certification?
National Water Hygiene registered?
Proficient in CAD
