Aqua-Tech Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading Engineering company who specialise in the water industry. Due to various recent project wins, they are looking to grow their teams and are currently looking for Commissioning Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company who are already well established and highly reputable. The client is extremely forward-thinking and will consider a 4-day working week after the initial probation period (at the managers' discretion).

They have offices in Inverness, Edinburgh, Preston and Cumbernauld with extremely flexible working arrangements.

The client is an established industry leader providing single sourced solutions within the field of MEICAT Engineering. Their areas of expertise include hazardous areas, PLC/SCADA, telemetry integration, electrical engineering design, installation, project management and preventive maintenance.

Successful candidates will have a full understanding of all commissioning requirements for the entire project life cycle.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Experience & comfort in reviewing drawings, Control Philosophy's, FDS's with the ability to highlight issues/queries/non-compliances

* Experience & comfort in attending cFAT's and ensuring that the LCP's/MCC's adhere to the requirements of the scope, the FDS and SW Spec's and WIMES Amendments

* Experience in aspects of commissioning in water and wastewater environments

* Developing commissioning plans, based on project scope information

* Developing inspection & test plans

* Developing training plans

* Ensuring that the commissioning is completed correctly, and that the respective commissioning documentation is correct

* Familiarity with Scottish Water specifications & WIMES Amendments (MEICA related)

* Have input into the project specific commissioning plan and keep records of tests up to date

* Supervising sub-contractor commissioning plans for implementation in above & reporting on the performance success of this

* Providing commissioning support to the project manager when required

* Identify and organise resource requirements to deliver commissioned plant & equipment

* Liaise with client operations & framework supplier engineers as required in line with the overall project commissioning plan

* Report progress and progress updates / issues to M&E Commissioning Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager escalating commissioning issues as required

* Undertake site acceptance testing as required in line with the project specific commissioning plan

Requirements/Qualifications:

* Previous experience of commissioning installations (M&E) in line with industry standards

* Experience within the water/wastewater industry

* Confined Space & Water Hygiene (advantageous)

* A full driving licence is required

Location:

This role is completely flexible with its base, with offices in Inverness, Edinburgh, Preston and Cumbernauld as well as home/hybrid working.
