We are currently seeking a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, working throughout the UK, and often in collaboration with other services within our organization. The role is based in our Manchester office.

Our company is a small but highly regarded business within the engineering and technical services sector. We provide civil and structural design consultancy services to a range of institutional clients, developers, agents, and contractors in various commercial property sectors. Our services also include expert witness, technical due diligence reporting, structural inspections, and construction monitoring. We are particularly known for our expertise in complex refurbishment and re-use projects, enabling clients to optimize their assets. Most of our work comes through repeat business and recommendations.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be a capable structural design engineer, able to work independently and supervise and check the work of junior colleagues within the team. You will be required to attend design team and client meetings, site meetings, and inspections. You will manage your own projects and assist with fee proposals and tenders for new work. We expect Senior staff to assist with business development and marketing activities. We work nationwide, so travel within the UK and some overnight stays will be required.

To be successful in this role, you must have an undergraduate/master's degree in structural and/or civil engineering and be CEng Chartered in IStructE and/or ICE.
You must have proven experience post-chartership and demonstrable experience of working at a Project Lead/Senior level, including management of staff.
Structural design experience in commercial property sectors is essential, and structural inspection/survey experience and report writing are desirable.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with Tekla Structural Designer and TEDDS, SFrame, Robot, Microdrainage is desirable - training can be arranged if required.
A full driving license is also necessary.
We offer a highly competitive salary, depending on experience, and a contributory pension scheme. Our flexible benefits program includes the option to buy additional holidays. We operate an approved training scheme, and staff are supported to achieve professional qualifications with ICE or IStructE. Flexible working, based out of our Manchester or Helsby office, with the opportunity to work from home. We pride ourselves on providing our staff with a rewarding and challenging career, encouraging continuous professional development, allowing employees to reach their full potential.
Join our team and be part of a growing community of experts and specialists who collaborate regularly to deliver projects and support each other across business units.
