Civil Engineer - Drainage

Harrogate, £50k + DOE, senior role, full projects, permanent position, immediate start

Senior Civil Engineer required for structural engineering firm in Harrogate. Working mainly on drainage projects from small domestic to large commercial projects and everything in between. You will have interesting projects to work on independently undertaking several aspects of preliminary and detailed design of highways including geometry, drainage, and earthworks.

As the Senior Civil Engineer you will have:

Confident experience of detailed design of highways, levels, drainage and external works.
Have worked with AutoCad, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage. .
Experience liaising planning authorities, statutory undertakers and national bodies
Worked with other consultants such as architects, planners, project managers and directly with Clients.
Excellent communicator, both written and oral
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
A 'self-starter' with drive, positivity and enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed.
Good commercial awareness and negotiating skills,
Represent the design function dealing with clients on technical matters.
An ability to effectively delegate design responsibility to others mentor staff
Have experience of working with developers, contractors and private clients
The drive to take on new challenges, develop your skills future and undertake research
The ability to manage projects independently
Experience of multi-disciplinary, complex projects from planning to completion.
