Our client is a small but highly reputable consultancy based in Tonbridge, Kent with a strong track record in delivering exceptional civil and structural engineering solutions. With a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential projects, they pride themselves on their commitment to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join their civils team on a full time, permanent basis.

As part of the Civils team you will be involved in all aspects stages of projects from inception scheme design, through to construction on site.

This is a great opportunity to join a small busy consultancy where you take on responsibility for all aspects of the project and build upon our Client relationships.

Responsibilities:

To prepare technical reports and arrange for any necessary survey or investigation works required in producing such reports,
Undertake the detail design of residential / commercial infrastructure including external levels, cut & fill analysis, highway and drainage design,
Manage / prepare working drawings,
Writing and overseeing the preparation of contract documents and technical reports,
Provide regular project progress reports (cost/programme) to designated manager,
Monitor resource input against target requirements,
Oversee the work assigned to Technicians,
Supervision of Highway & Drainage construction works,
Completing site diaries and keeping records of actual site progress v's target programme, delays, materials, labour,
Ensure the relevant statutory requirements and best management practices are met for all projects (CDM, Planning, Building Regulations, British Standards/European Codes, Design Guides, Codes of Practice etc.),
Ensure the appropriate internal and external communications take place for the successful completion of all activities undertaken and the procurement of new commissions,
Contribute to the operational management of the company.Requirements:

A degree in civil engineering,
A Chartered or near Chartered engineer,
A minimum of 3 years' experience in infrastructure design,
The following design experience would be advantageous: Cut & fill analysis, Residential Access Road Design, Industrial Access Road Design, S38 Adoptions, S278 Highway Design, Private Foul & SW drainage, Pumping Stations & Rising Mains, Sustainable Drainage Systems,S104 Adoptions. AutoCad, Civil 3D, XP Site 3D, Micro Drainage / FLOW Analysis [Flow preferable], MS Word,Excel, Pdf
An understanding of Statutory Regulations,
Knowledge of construction techniques,
Understanding of design principles and ability to apply them,
Excellent creativity, vision and problem-solving skills,
Confidence in project management of own schemes,
Highly organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
