Exciting opportunity for a talented Geotechnical Engineer at a medium-sized Multi-disciplinary Consultancy, based in Grangemouth.

Overview
Our client's expanding domestic and international project portfolio means there will be opportunities to work on varied projects within a range of sectors.
As a part of their growing geotechnical team, the successful applicant will have a good track record in many aspects of geotechnical engineering, underpinned by a recognisable, solid understanding of geotechnical principles. You will also have a proactive attitude to work, bringing high standards enhanced by a strong commitment to continuing professional development.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and management of multi-disciplinary ground investigations, including site supervision of sub-contractors .
- Help to draft factual reports and EC7 compliant GIR & GDR reports.
- Generate geotechnical ground models.
- Assist with preparing calculations, drawings and other documents required for design deliverables .
- Assist with geotechnical designs for solutions that may include: shallow and deep foundations; permanent works such as retaining walls and slopes; temporary works such as haul roads or working platforms.
- Co-ordinate with other IKM and external disciplines on projects.

Requirements
- Degree educated in Civil Engineering or a Geotechnical/Geological Science
- Minimum 2-3 years post-graduate background.
- Ambitious to obtain Chartership with a recognised institution (CEng or CGeol).
- A good base knowledge of ground investigation (GI).
- Conversant with Eurocode 7 design check methodologies for aspects such as shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls and slopes.
- Familiar with common conditions of contract relating to ground investigation (ICC, NEC3, NEC4 etc.).
- Geotechnical software, such as Holebase SI, LimitState: GEO and Settle 3D.
- Able to help project budgeting and financial performance with senior colleagues .
- Full UK driving license - and the ability to attend sites, as required.
