Graduate Structural Engineer

Excellent career opportunity is available for a recent Graduate of Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering to join a ll regarded and specialist Engineering Company whose specialist SFS Department focusses on the design of steel framed solutions for clients set across the construction sector.

As a Graduate Design Engineer your role will focus on the project engineering of light gauge steel systems, façade products/systems, aluminium and stainless steel supporting systems in building/construction industry. As one of engineering team members, the successful candidate will also need to do the engineering and analysis for new product development and existing product improvement if required. Responsibilities and Tasks:

Working on a variety of structural engineering projects, including light gauge steel, façade, aluminium and stainless steel supporting systems etc.
Engineering support for company projects from the concept design to the completion.
Technical support programme and documentation development for the products/systems.
Engineering and analysis for new product development and existing product improvement.Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

Degree qualified in a structural, mechanical or civil engineering related subject.
Good knowledge and understanding of the structural performance theory of building products/systems.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Computer skills for day-to-day work including MS Office, AutoCad etc.
3D modelling software, FE software and thermal modelling software knowledge and skills are not required, but benefit the job role.
