Role: Solar PV & Battery Storage Design Engineer (Utility Scale)

Salary: £50,000 (DOE)

Location: Central London (4 day work week!)

Overview:

We are seeking a person who will be responsible for performing engineering and project support tasks for our Utility Scale Solar PV and Battery Storage Projects. The ideal candidate will be expected to work within an existing design and engineering group as part of the construction team based within our UK head office. Any experience with Battery storage design is highly favourable.

Creating and reviewing engineering development and construction designs with the relevant CAD software for utility scale battery and solar projects.
Creating and reviewing engineering production simulations and irradiance assessments.
Creating and reviewing electrical calculations and single line diagrams (SLDs).
Analysing Project Design specifications.
Managing technical documentation
Monitoring technical progress of projects.Desired:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar. A relevant high level NVQ will be considered.
Experience of AutoCAD, PvSyst, PVSol, Solaredge Designer or any other software associated with PV design.
Experience with BESS in any capacity.
Previous experience in a client facing environment.
Good analytical thinking, and capability to effectively present and communicate key findings and recommendations, ability to work autonomously and within a team, attention to detail, interdisciplinary communication, analytical skills
