On behalf of our client, ITS (Construction Professionals South) are searching for a Graduate/Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and highly regarded Civil Engineering contractor in Southampton. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager you will assist the commercial team in the delivery of various Civil Engineering and groundworks projects on residential schemes across the South Coast.

They have a reputation for delivering civil engineering packages on residential projects for some of the most prestigious housing developers across the South Coast.

Responsibilities: As a Graduate/Junior Quantity Surveyor With guidance and support from a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager your responsibilities will include;

Assisting in preparing tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates
Performing take-offs from technical drawings and producing precise quantity surveys
Supporting in evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations and proposals
Assisting in preparing project cost reports and cash flow forecasts
Supporting the Quantity Surveyor in administering contracts, including issuing instructions and variations, preparing payment certificates, and managing claims
Collaborating with other departments, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure project information is current and accurate. Qualifications and Experience: The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Where a range of rate of pay is quoted the level of experience, qualifications & related training required is the minimum required in order to qualify for the lowest rate of pay quoted.
