We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our prestigious contracting company operating in London and Ireland. We value innovation, expertise, and commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Job Responsibilities:
• Thoroughly review and evaluate design information, encompassing drawings and specifications provided by Design Teams.
• Cultivate design concepts and perform structural design calculations.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects during the preparation of drawings and designs.
• Prepare annotated drawings to effectively communicate your designs to our team of detailers.
• Display willingness and responsiveness in coordinating with other design team professionals, clients, and contractors.
• Foster effective communication and coordination with external consultants, design teams, and clients.
• Regularly conduct site inspections, participate in site meetings, and engage in online meetings as required.
• Fulfill any additional job-related duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
• Possession of a Level 8 Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 0-3 years of experience, preferably in an Engineering Design Office setting, although on-site experience is also considered valuable.
• Desirable experience in working on projects involving steel frames.
• Proficient knowledge of Eurocode Design Standards for Steel, as well as a solid understanding of the Concrete Eurocode Design Standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, follow directions from Project Lead Engineers, prioritize deliverables, adhere to tight deadlines, and successfully complete projects on time.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a meticulous attention to detail and adept at conducting research on relevant subjects
