Salary: $78,852.80 to $118,289.60

The City of Sparks, NV is seeking a Civil Engineer Senior.

The Civil Engineer Senior will perform a variety of complex professional civil engineering functions specific to scoping, investigation, design, permitting, plan review, construction management, inspection of capital improvement infrastructure and new development projects. The Civil Engineer Senior conveys a solutions-oriented approach to challenges and possesses the demonstrated ability to implement best practices that bolster efficient and responsive teams. Experience in development, design and reviewing plans for a municipality is highly sought after for this role. The successful candidate will be organized and capable of working independently with minimal oversight or guidance and have experience working with permitting software, ACCELA. The individual selected will offer experience providing professional civil engineering in a municipal government. A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field and five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience is required. The successful candidate must register within six (6) months of hire and maintain throughout employment, as a Licensed Professional Engineer and/or must be able to obtain registration as a professional engineer in the appropriate discipline in the State of Nevada within the same time frame.
