Excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer with residential experience from either a residential developer, main contractor or consultancy to join a thriving housebuilder with the opportunity for a long term career development, and the chance to play your part in a growing companies success.

This company have built a reputation on good quality developments in the East Anglia region. Due to organic growth they are now looking for a Civil Engineer to join the business and play a key part in their next phase of growth.

In this role you will be working alongside external engineering consultants on multiple live projects. You will be responsible for issuing technical information to sites and consultants, liaising with architects and planning teams, organising utility surveyors, conducting initial drawing with AutoCAD and liaising with land teams to ensure viability of projects.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on new build residential projects with either a developer, main contractor or consultancy. You will work closely with various the third party consultancies and the in house technical, land and construction teams.

ROLE:

* Assist in the production of layouts and technical reports for Land Appraisals; and required working drawings

* Assist in the briefing and commission of site investigations, topographical survey and other assessment reports on land acquired

* Brief engineering consultants on scope of design, which includes roads sewers private drainage, retaining walls, foundation designs any other substructures below DPC level either private or adopted

* Assist in the Initial negotiations/enquiries with statutory bodies and utility undertakers on environmental, drainage, highways and other engineering issues when appraising land

* Issue engineering information to Commercial, Construction and Sales departments

* Assist in Fee negotiation and appointment of consultants

* Answering Technical queries

* Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group's Health, Safety and Environment Policy

CANDIDATE:

* Ideally qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a civil engineering or building-related discipline with some residential project experience

* Ideally have some knowledge of current building regulations and CDM

* You will also an understanding of current EA/LLFA/Water Authority/Highway regulations and adoption agreements

* Must have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and be able to communicate effectively both written and face to face

* You must be an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is willing to undertake all necessary training

Remuneration:

* £30,000 to £35,000 (DOE)
