Civil Engineer required for my client in their Newry office. The Senior Civil Engineer is required to work for a consultancy which operate within the Civil and Structural Engineering sector as well as the Geotechnical and Infrastructure. The Senior Civil Engineer will be working on a range of projects within flood risk, drainage, utilities and geo-environmental issues. The Senior Civil Engineer will be taking a comprehensive view of infrastructure issues for new development and advising clients on solutions.
The Ideal Senior Civil Engineer will be degree qualified in a course within a Civil Engineering discipline as well as having at least 5 years PGE and Chartered or near chartered. The Senior Civil Engineer will have extensive construction industry experience as well as knowledge of dealing with adoption for roads and drainage. It is envisaged that the successful Civil Engineer will be proficient in AutoCAD and Micro Drainage software's and knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments and geotechnical aspects involved within Drainage.

- Drainage infrastructure design
- Responsible for developing the design from initial concept to site supervision.
- Working as part and leading a design team.
- Supervising the preparation & Implementation of drawings and documents for projects;
- Attending & Liaising with Clients, Contractors, Consultants, and all relevant stakeholders;
- Monitoring of project scoping, budgets, monthly operating plans, and resource allocation;
- Carry out Inspecting and supervising on-site works
Civil Engineer Position Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience within consulting engineers or equivalent
- You will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- You will be a Chartered Engineer or member of a professional body working toward achieving Chartership status;
- Willing to work on a variety of civil engineering projects across the island of Ireland and the UK.
- Ability to work as part of a team and achieve tight deadlines and communicate effectively;
- Strong knowledge of current codes of practice, building control regulations, and procedures;
- Capable of supervising technicians in the production of drawings and information.
