Civil Project Engineer
Contract Length: 24 Months
Location: Annan - 4 day week (Required to drive due to location)
Pay Rate: £28.27ph PAYE / £38.01ph UMB
Job Description:
Assessment of the interim civils determination for an instructed period. Holding the account for the delivery of existing and future delivery plans. Assess and evaluate asset management policies and the effectiveness of their application. Hold operators to account for the delivery of maintenance and renewal activities where these are included in franchise obligations. Monitor activity levels for civil engineering maintenance, renewal expenditure and volume delivery. Monitor infrastructure condition and challenge any failure to meet regulatory outputs.
Key Requirements:
* Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project.
* Develop concept design and fit for purpose engineering solutions
* Produce, review or approve project technical specifications.
* Manage detailed design activities in accordance with design authority standards, and CDM regulations.
* Prepare modification proposals as required and act as a Nominated Responsible Engineer (NRE) for plant modifications.
Essential Experience:
* HNC, Civil Engineering Degree or National Qualifications Framework (NQF) level5/6
* Ideal candidate will have conventional project engineering experience
* Understanding of relevant national engineering standards
* Experience of managing aging infrastructure and civil assets

Level of screening - BPSS (Basic Disclosure) - successful candidate will be required to renew a DBS
TRIPLE BAR - Please note, Candidates MUST cover cost of the training for TRIPLE BAR. Without the completed course record, the candidate will not be granted site access and their start date will have to be moved. Candidate is not required to complete the training again if they already have a valid certificate in place. The Client should have access to the certificate or the Candidate should provide the copy. Once the worker has started they can reclaim their outlay via the client's expenses process
Drugs &Alcohol testing & DBS check - Please note, the candidate MUST cover the cost for any Drugs &Alcohol testing, as well as a DBS check prior to starting onsite. The candidate will not be reimbursed for these fees, without these completed, the candidate will not be granted site access and their start date will have to be moved. Once the worker has started they can reclaim the outlay via the client's expenses process
