Civil Structural Engineer

Purpose:

The Civil & Structural Engineer shall execute all Civil & Structural engineering activities within the boundaries defined by the Companys authority limits, or as delegated by the Discipline Manager.

The Civil & Structural Engineer shall undertake design and engineering deliverables including calculations, risk assessments, sketches, MTOs in a safe and productive manner, and deliver projects and/or packages on time, in-line with all contract specifications, achieving full client satisfaction and meeting all quality and commercial key performance indicators (KPIs), whilst maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues.

The Civil & Structural Engineer will demonstrate full understanding of and adherence to all relevant Engineering Procedures, Policies and Standards, and their practical application.

• Reinforced Concrete Design EC2 / BS8110, Seismic Design, Steelwork Design to BS5950 / EC3, Structural Supports Pipe and Equipment, Temporary Works (Civil) Shoring / Excavations, Temporary Works (Structural), e.g. Propping, Underground Drainage Design, Wind Loading Assessment, Access Platforms, Ladders and Stairs, Destruct Drawings, Detailed Drawings, Platforms, Ladders, Stairs, Grating, etc.
• Equipment Installation Drawings, Material Take-off, Steelwork Detailing and Fabrication, Structural Layouts and General arrangements.
• Analysis Software - ROBOT / STAAP Pro / IDEA StatiCa, AutoCAD 2D / 3D, Navisworks, Design Software - Tekla TEDDS
• Civil External Works, Groundworks, and Excavations, Concrete Foundation and Paving Specification, Ground Investigation Specification and Interpretation of Results, Structural Steelwork Specification, Material Selection, Structural Analysis Reports, Structural Surveys, Welding, NDE and Heat Treatment

Technical Requirements:

• Keep up-to-date with latest industry standards, technology and norms., Be familiar with all relevant engineering and design software.
