Structural Engineer

We require a Structural Engineer to provide calculations for our products to show loadings that would be
applied to the structure they are to be installed to are safe for use and provide mechanical design checks on steel assemblies.

Job Duties:
* Structural design calculations as required for customer projects. You will need to prepare the calculations
and provide your official stamp/signature for authenticity.
* Provide product drawings to suit the project application for approval by the Consultant or Contractor.
* Check product design drawings
* Process, convert and plot drawings within a PDM system
* Produce layout drawings in 2D AutoCAD
* Produce product drawings in 3D Inventor
* Assemble, prepare 3D FEA simulations and produce customised reports
* It is estimated that one week per month you will be required to visit our Engineering head
office in the Midlands to support their ongoing activities. The role will be varied and encompass designs,
product testing, and technical support to the group of companies

Additional Information:
* Full UK driving license required.
* Qualifications: MEng (preferred)
BEng (minimum)
* Willingness to travel throughout the UK as the role requires.
* Applicants must be conversant with the following software as a minimum: Autodesk, Autodesk Inventor,
AutoCAD, Finite Element Analysis, Outlook, and Microsoft office.
* Experience within the Height Safety sector would be an advantage but is not essential
