Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer (Nuclear/defence) Outside IR35 - Cheshire

Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior civil engineer to join a large design and engineering company on a contract basis.

The role is outside IR35 and remote based with site visits when requires.

As a senior civil engineer, you will provide civil engineering services within the engineering department to ensure the delivery of safe, cost effective projects.

Responsibilities include:

Undertaking activities across the project/engineering
Provide technical guidance and support in areas of expertise.
Delivery of design engineering support
Provide a project and design service to PM's.
Preparation of relevant design documents as per design procedures, safety case and nuclear site license requirements.

Qualifications and experience:

Relevant Degree
Incorporated or Chartered status preferred, although having an action plan in place to achieve one of these would be acceptable.
Experience in engineering and construction design/controls within the nuclear licensed site arena, or other heavily regulated industry.
Working knowledge of international and UK standards relating to engineering and design related to Civil engineering within the nuclear industry.
Ability to use or learn to use specialist software packages (e.g. system modeling packages).
Ability to assess problems, feasibility and develop practical solutions
