Graduate Geo Environmental Engineer

Our clients are looking for a pro-active, driven individual who is seeking a Graduate Geo-environmental position in Cornwall.

Offices in Truro with the option for occasional home working and site visits across Cornwall and Devon. There may also be rare further afield site works requiring overnight stays such as the Isles of Scilly.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking desk studies, site walkovers, preparing for site investigations including RAMS, writing technical reports, supervising site works and liaising with clients and contractors.
Full training will be provided via a mixture of in-house training and formal courses.

• They do not expect graduates to have any practical experience of geo-environmental engineering but an understanding of geo-environmental engineering from Phase 1 desk studies to Phase 2 ground investigations and validation of remediation works and geotechnical engineering would be an asset but not essential.
• Good geographical and geological knowledge of Cornwall and Devon would be beneficial.
• Able to prepare logs compliant to BS5930
• Skills in writing well-structured, clear and concise technical reports, reviewing 3rd party information and interpreting findings in the context of current guidance and client's requirements.
• Able to liaise with clients and contractors and maintain good working relationships
• Hold a degree in a suitable discipline, such as: Engineering Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geology or Geography.
• Have a flexible and positive approach towards site work
• Have full UK driving license
Job Types: Full-time. Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, 6 month probationary period.
