Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer required for our client who are a growing consultancy in Portsmouth. They are seeking a Civil Engineer to join the team. Our client is a multi-Disciplined company that have a great reputation for working on prestigious buildings and the Defence Estate in London. Our client is seeking a driven, ambitious and successful Civil Engineer that has a desire to work one some exciting projects up and down the UK. The Civil Engineer must be an individual that has had previous experience with Project Management or a desire to gain this experience. It is essential for the Civil Engineer to have a variety of design and project experience as our client are multidisciplinary and projects can vairy.

Civil Engineer Position Overview

• Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
• Conduct on site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up designs that satisfy technical specifications
• Assess potential risks, materials and costs
• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
• Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
• Hand over the resulting structures and services for use
• Monitor progress and compile reports on project status
• Manage budget and purchase of equipment/materials
• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required

Civil Engineer Position Requirements

• Proven working experience in civil engineering
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, REVIT or similar
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc
• Project management and supervision skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Member of a recognised body (e.g. ICE)
• BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or similar

Civil Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £50,000-£55,000
• 20 days' holidays plus Loyalty Scheme
