Senior/Principal Civil Engineer

Our client is a leading provider of construction consulting services with a comprehensive background in Structural and Civil Engineering, working with many of the top national house builders, retail developers and public authorities. The firm is a well established practice with several nationwide offices. They are Investors in People, IS09001 approved and hold various other accreditations.

Areas of their expertise include structural and civil engineering, feasibility studies, building information modelling (BIM), engineering masterplanning, flood management, infrastructure design, pre-development engineering and transportation & highways. The sectors they operate in are varied and include retail, data centres, logistics, residential, logistics and energy and their pipeline is full of exciting work that will keep you busy! Examples of projects you could be working on will range from residential developments to industrial buildings such as warehouses, sheds and data centres for various big name clients!

They are looking for a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join their Norwich office, to help them design development infrastructure (drainage/highways), provide flood management expertise, integrate SuDS and much more. They are looking for someone who has some management experience and is keen to mentor and assist junior staff, but who isn't afraid to get stuck in on the technical side!

Key Requirements:

• BEng/BSc degree in Civil or Environmental Engineer and be Chartered or near Chartered (CEng).
• Sound experience in flood risk assessments, SuDS, pavement designs, managing projects, checking and preparing engineering reports, drawings and figures.
• Proficiency in use of AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/WinDes and Civil 3D.
• Experience in sectional agreements including S278, S38, S104 and S106.
• Good, proven management skills.
