The Role:
Property Services is a Hampshire County Council in-house team of multi-disciplinary construction professionals and specialist support staff delivering a range of property functions ranging from new build, refurbishments, and extensions through to maintenance and compliance activities. It encompasses the HCC estate and those of our partner organisations and will include schools, offices, libraries, fire stations and police premises.
In this role you will lead on the management and delivery of the structural inspections and remedial works programmes. This covers both the structural inspection programme and assuring the associated remedial works are completed within the appropriate timescales and to the necessary standard. The role will also involve undertaking structural inspections, providing inspection reports and the preparation of works specifications to remediate structural defects.
Undertaking effective client liaison which could be schools, care homes, libraries, countryside estate, or external clients such as Hampshire Constabulary and Hampshire Fire Rescue Service is also a key part of this role.
