Do you want to work in an exciting company who develop technology for the Civil Aerospace, Defence, Space, Industrial, Medical and Scientific industries? If so this global company who work on some of the highest profile projects at the cutting edge of science and technology are expanding and are keen to recruit an Environmental Test Engineer. You will provide a service to the whole business by performing a range of mechanical tests, including vibration, mechanical shock, structural analysis, packaging assessment and climatic tests.

Duties:

Oversee and have responsibility for environmental engineering ensuring the correct execution to relevant standards and to defined specifications for Vibration testing, Mechanical shock testing, Temperature testing, Humidity testing, Altitude testing, Package testing and Corrosion testing.
Support of the design and manufacture of interface jigs for mechanical and thermal Testing.
Review test plans to support the development of products
Capture, analysis, reporting and presentation of test data.
Plan for and ensure that equipment is in current calibration and conforms to all relevant safety standards.
Ensure that health, safety and environmental requirements are met.
Identify and resolve/escalate any conditions of laboratory or equipment that may give cause for concern.
Undertake the department Health and Safety audits.
Assist in ensuring timely return of test items and supporting equipment to 'customers'.
Ensure all equipment and test items are maintained in a compliant and safe environment.
Liaise with internal & external customers, attend meetings to represent the work carried by the Environmental Engineering group.
Develop new ideas, systems and processes, with a constant view of continuous improvement.
Experience:

A degree is preferred ideally within an engineering, science or Physics subject
Good fundamental grounding in a broad range of engineering disciplines is ideal
Good technical understanding of product testing in a laboratory or industrial environment preferable
Confident communicator at all levels both written & verbal.
Must be able to multi-task on several assignments and complete all to a high standard, with a high degree of energy.
Must be a good team player with the ability to work effectively with team members of varying personalities and abilities and independently as well.
Due to security requirements candidates need to be a British Citizen
