Role: Electrical Project Engineer
Type: Permanent - Site & Hybrid Working
Location: Blackburn & NW Sites
Salary: Negotiable + Generous Company Benefits & Company Car/Allowance
The Company
My client is successful, dynamic and growing contracting business who work within Water Treatment, M&E and ICA. They are currently growing year on year in the UK and have a healthy turnover. As a result of increased workload, they are looking to hire an Electrical Project Engineer to take on design update & program responsibility of new framework projects across the UK.
The Role
Reporting to the Framework Manager
Responsible for engineering deliverables throughout a project life cycle:
Compliance with statutory and framework/client specifications
Acting as the SME for Mechanical Engineering for the project team
Edit and understand drawings
Attending and Completing HAZOP/HAZCOM/FAT/SAT works
Input and update of designer's risk assessments
As constructed records
Work with the Project, Engineering & Operation teams to eliminate or reduce risk
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations
Ensure internal governance and processes are followed
Engage in tender and supplier evaluations
Participate in client initiatives and proactively promote health & safety performance
Review subcontractor tenders and performance
Training and career development opportunities
The Candidate
Be well organised, IT literate in MS Office packages including MS Project
Qualified to at least HNC or equivalent Electrical Engineering and be able to display a sound understanding of relevant Legislation, CDM Regulations & duties, and NEC Contracts
Ideally have appropriate experience and a technical understanding of M&E requirements within the water industry but not essential
A knowledge of AutoCad ideal
Requires a full driving licence as potential for working on site as and when required
