Introduction
Astute are proudly partnered with a leading engineering consultancy who specialise in providing technical support and consultancy services to developers, investors and owner-operators, supporting investments into renewable energy and infrastructure projects in support of the UK's transition to clean energy sources.

After recently opening a new office in Glasgow and in support of continual growth, we are seeking a Project Manager / Project Engineer with a technical background in the wind industry to join their growing Renewables Team. The key responsibility of the role will be to review and conduct technical due diligence to technical and engineering documentation in aid of wind farm developments. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in an engineering or project management role, working on new wind farm developments and projects.

This is a development type role, ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience who will work under the Senior Wind Project Manager, who will coach, mentor and develop the successful candidate through to a senior position.

Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Wind Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
Review and conducting technical due diligence to technical drawings and documentations for wind farm developments and construction projects.
Conducting and reviewing feasibility studies.
Identifying potential technical and/or commercial risks for new projects.
Working with internal and external engineering or commercial teams to progress projects and provide technical expertise where required.
Network and make contact with industry suppliers and contractors where needed.
Consult with planning bodies, local authorities etc if necessary.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
The successful candidate will have 2-3 years experience in Project Management / Project Engineering within the wind or renewable energy industry.
Strong project management experience in wind farm development, construction or operation.
Degree qualified such as BEng in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar is essential.
Previous experience of conducting technical due diligence, reviews and feasibility studies would be a strong advantage.
Able to interpret engineering drawings, models, specifications and documentation.
Strong project management/engineering experience - able to manage multiple projects and track their progress.
Based within a commutable distance of Glasgow.
Able and willing to travel UK wide - some potential for Ireland too.
A Full UK Driving Licence is essential to this role - travel to remote locations is likely for this reason.
