RCT Council is once again preparing to recruit to its Graduate Programme that provides fantastic opportunities to work in a vibrant environment, learn new and transferable skills, meet people from a range of backgrounds and develop a professional career in Rhondda Cynon Taf. All Graduate Officers will be supported to complete either a Level 4 Project Management qualification or job-related technical training (all fully funded) as part of the programme.
Civil Engineering within the Strategic Projects Unit
The team provides an effective, responsive and high-quality service in respect of the Highways, Transportation and Strategic Projects section. With involvement in small-scale projects up to multi-million-pound developments, the civil engineering demands are ever changing.
Who Were Looking For
The Graduate Officer will be based with Highways, Transportation and Strategic Projects undertaking all aspects of civil engineering from feasibility studies to detailed design, preparation of contract documentation through to contract management and site supervision. You will be highly organised, able to work independently and show a passion for working in the engineering field.
A minimum 2:2 degree with honours in Civil Engineering which is accredited to the Institution of Civil Engineers for entry as an ICE member (MICE) and registration with the Engineering Council as an incorporated engineer (IEng) membership is essential for this position.
