Our client is a Design & Build consultancy near Ely, Cambridgeshire and we are seeking a skilled Surveying & CAD Engineer with experience in surveying to join their growing team on a very interesting and varied project.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Surveyor or CAD Engineer who is passionate about design and construction to play a crucial role in design and build projects in a position that will give a good exposure to both Surveying and Design work.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys and collect data to create accurate architectural drawings and models
• Use CAD software to produce detailed and precise 2D and 3D designs, plans, elevations, and sections
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and expectations
• Attend design meetings and provide technical support to project teams
• Manage multiple projects and priorities, ensuring designs are delivered on time and to budget
• Stay up-to-date with current design and construction methods and regulations, and apply this knowledge to your work
• Identify and resolve design issues and discrepancies, and provide technical support to other team members as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for projects, including as-built drawings and project specifications

Key Skills & Requirements:

• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise designs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some travel to sites will be required
• Previously cleared or able to achieve Security Clearance
