Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer

FPS is working with a multidisciplinary Consulting Engineer who are looking for Geotechnical Engineers to join their Ground Engineering team. Our client has an international presence, delivering engineering and design solutions in a variety of sectors. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to a large portfolio of geotechnical design projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Take a leading role within the ground engineering team and meet growing demands from clients within Development, Energy, Highways, and Water, Energy.
Managed, prepare and check design calculations and specifications for geotechnical works such as bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, earthworks, and piling.
Oversee the delivery of the design of geotechnical elements of existing and future projects.
Plan and supervise of ground investigations, reports and ensure workload is delivered on time and within budget.
Mentor and training junior geotechnical engineers.

What we need from you:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Earth Science or equivalent
Chartered status (IEng/CEng/CGeol) preferred or close to
Strong professional experience working with a geotechnical design environment
Relevant knowledge of geotechnical principal and standards
Proven experience acting as a project lead and overseeing junior staff
Knowledge of relevant geotechnical design, data management and analysis software
Full UK driving licence
