Wood Biomass Plant Engineering Consultant (Renewable Energy)

GBR Recruitment are working exclusively with a leading wood biomass power generation company in the heart of Lincolnshire, recruiting for an experienced Wood Biomass Plant Engineering Consultant to work on a day rate Consultancy basis.

This is a key Consultancy role, working with the Site SMT & MD acting as the specialist advisor on all Wood Biomass processing procedures (CI / LEAN / increased Output levels focused), as well as advising the client on all CAPEX & OPEX investments, supporting all associated works around Commissioning new Power Generation machinery & decommissioning old Power Plant machinery, bringing the site operations up to the latest standards & making them more competitive in the World of Renewable / Recyclable Energy production (Carbon Neutral / Sustainable living).

On top of being the principal lead for all things CI, LEAN, efficiencies, Cost Savings, CAPEX, OPEX, Commissioning & Decommissioning (support, design, procurement & delivery of these large-scale projects), you will also be able to advise the business on RHI schemes & the maximisation of RHI funding / grants (sustainability, legality & compliance requirements).

You will be the guru in all things Wood Biomass Power Generation process (steam, boilers, drying, CO2, generators, turbines etc.),with a background of working in the World of heavy manufacturing power plants assets & power generation facilities.

Power Generation Plant machinery used on-site:

* Fuel reception & weighing.

* Preparation & drying.

* Wood waste separation systems.

* Vibratory conveyor systems.

* Chippers & Compactors.

* Steam & Air classifiers.

* Wood waste crushers & chippers.

* Screening systems.

* Storage Feeders, hoppers & baggers (vertical bagging, form & fill).

* Transfer & sorting conveyors.

* Boilers, Turbines & Generators.

* HV & LV Machinery.

Duties:

* Advising & Consulting on BEST working processes & working practices.

* Expert advice on Commissioning & De-commissioning Plant machinery.

* OPEX & CAPEX projects (advising, planning, designing & rolling out).

* RHI Scheme support & advice on maximising returns & outputs.

* General Engineering & Maintenance advice.

* Business Analysis (analysing current processes & procedures, advising on business improvements / supporting & promoting VBM activities).

* Auditing current working practices & policies (legislation & compliance).

* New site start up & Site expansion advice.

* CDM advice / guidance.

* MHE / Plant machinery procurement advice

* WAMITAB & CPCS training requirements advice (upskilling staff / L&D).

Qualifications & Attributes:

STEM degree or Engineering qualified, or qualified in a relative industry topic i.e. within Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology, Project Management or other, from a Wood Biomass / Biomass processing background.
