Junior Civil Engineer
£23,000 - £27,000
Chester, Cheshire.
An independent Engineering Consultancy based in Chester are looking for a Junior Civil Engineer with (ideally) 1 year of relevant experience in the design of roads and sewers for residential projects for some of the UK's biggest house builders.
The company are a close-knit, family-run company built on trust. They have a total of 25 staff based from their Chester office and provide free on-site parking.
The successful candidate will work alongside four existing infrastructure team members plus a team of Technicians to build on their design skills and software knowledge. Training will be provided but any experience with PDS, MicroDrainage and AutoCAD software would be advantageous. Knowledge of other general office software such as Outlook, Word and Excel would also be useful.
The right Civil Design Engineer may have:
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Practical understanding of civil engineering principles.
Working knowledge of software package (PDS, Microdrainage or similar) for highway design and ground modelling.
Working knowledge of WinDes to design and model new drainage systems including sustainable drainage.
Working knowledge of Sewers for Adoption 6th/7th Edition & DCG
Working knowledge of CIRIA SuDS Manual C753
Working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
Packages will start at £23,000 basic salary but could rise as high as £27,000 for the right candidate plus benefits including employer contributory pension and annual holiday.
