Job Title: Senior/Principal Civil Engineer (Rivers & Flood Risk)

Location: UK Wide

Job Type: Perm / Full Time

Salary: £40-60k experience dependant

Experience: Must have a minimum 3y+ in relevant part of UK water sector.

About the role:

-Leading the management of local scour and flood management schemes

-Supporting our discipline in larger projects - from feasibility stage through to construction support.

-Design of hard and soft riverine structures including coordination of geotechnical, environmental and permitting teams.

-You'll provide technical support and leadership to project teams delivering schemes across the UK and occasionally abroad - ranging from small but locally important scour project to large multidisciplinary projects.

-The role provides fantastic opportunities for professional development for a chartered or near chartered engineer to work with our highly experienced team. -

The team:

-Our client is a diverse team with a varied and exciting workload across the UK and Internationally including Flood Defence, Coastal, Geomorphology, and Hydraulic Modelling.

-Our client has a large portfolio of river management and scour management projects - working with natural processes to protect important infrastructure and reduce flood risk.

What we are looking for:

-Gained or near Chartered Civil Engineer status with experience in the delivery of project relating to Flood Risk or Scour Design.

-Experience in design in the river environment, with a passion for balancing hard and soft techniques to achieve safe and sustainable schemes.

-Experience of working with and for Network Rail and their associated design requirements.

-Knowledge of the UK Flood Management Industry, including environmental permitting and engagement with the Environment Agency, Marine Management Organisation, Natural England and Highways England.
